New Year’s Day Cake

Traditional Vasilopita Cake with butter scent.

Marba Butterscotch 2.000 g
Eggs 900 g
Margarine Princess 700 g
Butter 99% 270 g
Grated walnut 400 g
Cinnamon 2 g
Lemon or Orange shavings 2 lemons or 2 oranges

Preparation

Use the flat beater to mix all the ingredients together for 7-8 minutes at high speed until you get a homogenous and fluffy dough.

Add the lemon or orange shavings and the grated walnuts making sure they are well blended together.

Pour the mixture into molds, filling them up to 2/3.

Bake at 170°C for 45-50 minutes (depending on the cake weight).

Once the cake has cooled down, you can proceed with the decoration. You can decorate either with Mont Blanc (white sugar in powder form, non-water soluble), Décor Icing White (sugar paste) or Fondant (icing).
