New Year’s Day Cake

Traditional Vasilopita Cake with blended spices.

Marba Butterscotch 1.000 g
Margarine Princess 400 g
Water 150 g
Eggs 450 g
Black Line Orange Cubes 100 g
Almonds 150 g
Mahleb 10 g
Cinnamon 5 g
Clove 1 g
Nutmeg 4 g
Mastic 2 g
Vanilla extract 2 g
Décor Icing White (decoration)

Preparation

    Use the flat beater to mix all the ingredients together (apart from the orange cubes and the almonds) for 5 minutes at high speed.

    Add the Black Line Orange Cubes and the almonds and mix for 1 minute.

    Pour the mixture into preferable molds, filling them up ½ .

    Bake at 150°C for 50-60 minutes (depending on the cake weight).

    Decorate with Décor Icing White (sugar paste).
